- For any lot on which the owner proposes to erect one or more signs requiring a permit, unless such lot is included in a common signage plan, the owner shall submit to the city a master signage plan.
- If owners of two or more contiguous lots, or the owner of a single lot with more than one building, file a common signage plan, a 25 percent increase in maximum total sign area is allowed for each included lot.
- A master or common signage plan shall be included in any development plan, site plan, planned unit development plan, or other official plan required by the city and shall be processed simultaneously with such other plan.
- A master or common signage plan may be amended by filing a new plan that conforms with current requirements. Amendments relating to design consistency must follow the original approval procedure.
- When a master or common signage plan is filed for a property with existing nonconforming signs, it shall include a schedule for bringing all signs into conformance with the plan or current ordinance.
- After approval of a master or common signage plan, no sign shall be erected, placed, painted, or maintained except in conformance with such plan.
