## Prohibited signs in Ascension Parish

- No on-site commercial sign shall be developed, installed, located or constructed on the site of a commercial, residential, recreational, institutional, or industrial use except as authorized in the sign ordinance.
- No portion of any sign shall be located or installed in a manner that creates a traffic hazard.
- No portion of any sign or sign structure shall be located within five feet from the right-of-way line or within 20 feet of the edge of pavement or roadway surface of any public street or highway; no portion of any sign shall project or extend into or over any public right-of-way.
- No sign or structure shall exceed prescribed maximum heights (20 feet for freestanding signs, 30 feet along Airline Highway, 60 feet within 500 feet of Interstate Highway 10, or 35 feet above the height of an elevated roadway).
