- A sign lawfully erected under permit may be repainted or have ordinary and customary repairs performed, including replacement of plastic or glass panels, without a new sign permit; however, if such sign is to be structurally altered in any manner, a new sign permit shall be required and the altered sign must meet all requirements of this Article and this Code.
- Allowed temporary signs, except for special event signs, are exempt from sign permitting. Temporary special event signs require a permit.
- Allowed permanent signs of the type described in this Article shall be exempt from sign permitting.
- The sign permit application shall be reviewed and a decision rendered within 10 calendar days. In the event that no decision is rendered within 10 days, the application shall be deemed denied and the applicant may appeal to the Board of Adjustment.
- Whenever there is an allegation of error in permit decisions or administrative action, an appeal may be made to the Board of Adjustment.
