## Prohibited signs in Oswego

- No sign shall be constructed, erected, altered or relocated until a sign permit has been issued by the Permit Administrator.
- No sign may be erected unless it conforms to the regulations of this article.
- Signs, including support structures, shall be removed within 60 days following the closing of the permitted facility for which the sign was issued.

- All signs and sign structures shall be erected and attached totally within the site.
- No sign may be located within a vision clearance area except as specified in § 280-58H.
- No support structure(s) for a sign may be located in a vision clearance area unless the combined total width is 12 inches or less and the combined total depth is 12 inches or less.
- Every sign shall be designed and located so as not to impair public safety, restrict clear vision between a sidewalk and street, be confused with a traffic sign or signal, or prevent free access to any door, window or fire escape.
- Nonconforming signs may not be enlarged, extended, relocated or altered in any way, except to make them conform to provisions of this chapter.
