## Prohibited signs in Indian Beach

- No off-premises signs are permitted except for Temporary Information Signs.
- No sign shall be erected or maintained within 12 feet from the edge of the pavement of adjacent streets and roads, except as specifically provided.
- No sign shall be erected or continued that obstructs sight distance at intersections or along a public right of way.
- No sign shall be erected or continued that would tend by its location or nature to be confused with or obstruct the view of traffic signs or signals, uses flashing red or blue lights, or could be confused with the lights of an emergency vehicle.
- No sign shall use admonitions such as 'stop,' 'go,' 'slow,' 'danger,' etc. near a public street or right of way that might be confused with traffic signals or signage.
- No sign shall be attached to or painted on any telephone pole, electrical pole, utility pole, or sign post or pole erected by a governmental unit (except as erected or attached by said unit).
- No obsolete sign (advertising businesses that have been discontinued, except seasonal businesses intended to resume) may remain for more than 30 days after the date of discontinuance.
- Portable signs (other than Seasonal Signs and customary real estate 'for sale' or 'for rent' signs) are prohibited.
- Unless specifically authorized by the ordinance, and subject to any reduced size restrictions, no sign shall exceed 16 square feet per side.
- Signs with flashing blue, red, yellow, green, or white lights, or any other flashing light that may resemble those of emergency vehicles or traffic direction devices, are prohibited.
