## Prohibited signs in Eastlake

- No person shall expose, distribute or place any sign, advertisement, circular, notice or statement or display any banner or emblem or design in any park grounds or other public lands.

- No person, firm, corporation, or college/university shall place on or suspend from any building or other structure or on the real estate any advertising object or structure other than a sign as defined, regulated and prescribed by this chapter. Banners, streamers and rotating devices are prohibited except as allowed in this chapter.

- The maximum area, location and height requirements of said sign or other advertising structure shall be determined by the Chief Building Official and approved by the Safety Director. The maximum height may be restricted and required to be approved by the City of Eastlake’s Planning Commission, as ordered by the Chief Building Official.
- Said sign or other advertising structure is approved as a Conditional Use in accordance with Chapter 1161 of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Eastlake.
- All proposed signs must have detailed design plans and specifications submitted to the Building Department for approval and permit with sufficient data to determine the structural soundness of the design, and the design must be in accord with building codes as adopted by the City.
- Such sign shall be approved by both the Architectural Review Board and the Planning Commission prior to the building permit being issued.
