## Prohibited signs in North Plains

- Lighting exterior to the structures shall be shielded to confine emitted light within the boundary of the property from which it originated, except American/Oregon State flag illumination.
- When a sign is removed or replaced, all brackets, poles and other structural elements that supported the sign and are not being used for the new sign shall also be removed, and affected building surfaces restored to match the adjacent portion of the structure.
- Repairs to signs shall be equal to or better in quality of materials and design than the original sign.
- Non-conforming signs may not be added to or enlarged, except as required by law.
- A non-conforming sign that is moved, replaced or structurally altered must be brought into conformance, except as allowed for structural safety or repair/maintenance.
