## Prohibited signs in Athens Borough

- Any sign erected must conform to the provisions of the International Building Code and other applicable local ordinances or regulations.
- No sign other than an official traffic sign or similar sign shall be erected within two feet of any street line or within any public way, unless specifically authorized.
- Signs projecting over public walkways are only permitted subject to code-defined projection and clearance limits or must have a minimum height of eight feet from grade level to the bottom of the sign.
- Signs, architectural projections, or sign structures projecting over vehicular access areas must conform to minimum height clearance requirements imposed by the jurisdiction.
