## Prohibited signs in Lubbock

- Signs with flashing, blinking, or traveling lights are prohibited within 1,000 feet of any street intersection except electronic message displays.
- Searchlights, twirling signs, balloons, gas-filled objects, or tube signs are prohibited except as permitted in this Division.
- Signs resembling an official traffic sign or signal, or bearing words like 'Stop,' 'Go Slow,' 'Caution,' 'Danger,' 'Warning,' or similar are prohibited.
- Signs may not be designed, sized, colored, located, or illuminated so as to be confused with or construed as a traffic-control sign, signal, or device, or hide from view any traffic or street sign or signal or device.
- Signs that obstruct any window, door, fire escape, stairway, ladder, or opening required for light, air, ingress, or egress, or hide from view any traffic or street sign or device are prohibited.
- Parking advertising vehicles or trailers on a public right-of-way or on public property is prohibited; vehicles parked on private property and visible from right-of-way must be used regularly.
- Signs that emit sound, odor, or visible matter which serves as a distraction within the public right-of-way are prohibited.
