## Prohibited signs in Sparta

- Bills and posters shall not be posted on the exterior of buildings or windows.
- Signs shall not resemble, imitate or approximate the shape, size, form or color of railroad or traffic signs or devices.

## Signs exempt from permit in Sparta

- Real estate signs not to exceed eight square feet in area which advertises the sale, rental or lease of the premises upon which the signs are temporarily located. These signs must be removed within 30 days after sale, rental or lease.

- A sign for the purpose of designating a new building or development, for promotion of a subdivision, for announcement of a special event or for similar special informational purposes may be permitted for a limited period of time in any district with the approval of the building inspector, subject to submitted drawings and approval of size/location at the inspector's discretion.
