    • What is PermitPal?

      PermitPal is an AI-powered compliance platform that turns hours of manual zoning and sign-code research into instant, citation-backed answers. Enter an address, we return the rules – wall, monument, window, EMC, etc.

    • What counts as a lookup?

      A single search of one address or parcel. We geo-locate, match the zoning layer, and return sign-specific rules with citations. You’ll only burn another credit if you run a different address.

    • Can I upgrade, downgrade, or cancel at any time?

      Absolutely. Plan changes take effect immediately and are prorated to the second. If you cancel, service continues until the end of your billing cycle.

    • Is there an API?

      Yes we offer API endpoints for bulk lookups, and embedding data into your internal dashboards. This feature is only available on the enterprise plan.

    • Who is PermitPal for?

      Regional and national sign companies, permit expeditors, architects, and project managers who are tired of digging through city PDFs or waiting on city clerks. If you run fewer than five checks a month or more than a hundred, there’s a plan for you.

    • Do seats cost extra?

      Each plan includes a set number of seats, and you can invite teammates for free inside that allowance. Extra seats are billed per the plan’s overage table.

    • What if my city isn't covered yet?

      Click “Request City” after a search – our data team usually onboards new cities within 48 hours but often much faster.

    • How does credit-based pricing work?

      Every lookup (one address → one zoning district → full sign regulations) costs a credit. Plans include a bundle of credits each month, and you can buy more at a flat rate when you go over. Nationwide coverage is included in every tier – no per-state upsells, ever.

    • What happens if I exceed my included credits?

      We simply add the overage rate to your next invoice – $10 on Flex, $5 on Pro, $3 on Business. No throttling or surprise plan upgrades.

    • How accurate are the regulations and AI summaries?

      Every rule is pulled from municipal code, zoning map, or adopted ordinance. The AI summary shows inline citations so you can verify in a single click.
