  • Signs using a series of two or more signs placed in a line parallel to a street or highway right-of-way, all carrying a single advertising message, are prohibited.
  • Signs not expressly allowed by the chapter are prohibited.
  • Any sign that incorporates a television screen, computer screen, electronic images, or electronic characters that do not meet standards for electronic message display signs is prohibited.
  • Illuminated tubing outlining property lines, open sales areas, rooflines, doors, windows, landscaping, or the edges of the wall is not permitted, except for shielded perimeter down-lighting to illuminate open sales areas only.
  • Illuminated signs in any residential district are prohibited, except as expressly provided.
  • Electronic message signs are prohibited unless expressly permitted by the chapter.
  • No person may, to increase or enhance the visibility of any sign, damage, trim, destroy or remove any trees, shrubs, or other vegetation located within the public right-of-way, on property the person does not control, or in areas where such trees or shrubs are required to remain under a permit.
  • No person shall willfully or negligently injure, deface, draw, paint, carve, or mutilate any sign, post, lamppost, pole, wire, apparatus, building, residence, wall, or fence.
  • No person shall paste, glue, tack, or otherwise post any sign, placard, advertisement or inscription in town recreation facilities except as authorized.
  • It is unlawful to hang or suspend any sign over sidewalks or streets at less than eight (8) feet from the ground over the sidewalk and less than fifteen (15) feet from the ground above the street.
