- No person, firm or corporation in any manner shall mark, deface, injure or destroy any such telephone poles, telegraph poles, electric light poles, map poles, guide posts, hitching rails or posts or any other similar structure located upon the streets, alleys, lanes or public places of the Village.
- No person, firm or corporation owning or maintaining any telephone poles, telegraph poles, electric light poles, lamp posts, guide posts, hitching rails or posts or other similar structures upon the streets, alleys, lanes, or other public places of the Village shall grant permission or authority to place thereon any signs, bulletins, writings, pictures, drawings, caricatures, advertisements, writings, or printed matter of any kind or any placards, papers, or any other similar article of any kind.
- No sign shall be placed in any public right of way except publicly owned signs, such as traffic control signs and directional signs.
- No building wall shall be used for display of advertising except that pertaining to the use carried on within such building.
- No illumination involving movement or causing the illusion of movement by reason of the lighting arrangement or other devices shall be permitted which may cause confusion or a hazard to traffic or conflict with traffic control signs or lights.
- No such sign or advertising structure shall be permitted which faces the front side lot line of any lot in any residential district within 100 feet of such lot line, or which faces any public or parochial school, library, church or similar institution, within 300 feet thereof.
- No person shall place, maintain or display upon or in view of any street any unauthorized sign, signal, marking or device which purports to be, is an imitation of or resembles a traffic control device or railroad sign or signal, or which attempts to direct the movement of traffic, or hides from view or interferes with the effectiveness of any traffic control device or any railroad sign or signal.
