  • All signs not expressly permitted under this Code or exempt from regulation hereunder are prohibited within the corporate limits of the City and those areas within the extraterritorial jurisdiction (signs include, but are not limited to: beacons; portable signs; roof signs above the lesser of the height of the structure or allowable freestanding sign height within the District; inflatable signs and tethered balloons greater than 18 inches in diameter; flashing/fluttering/undulating/swinging/rotating or otherwise moving signs; billboard signs; streamers; electronic message centers in fixed or traveling mode; signs that emit an odor or produce an audible message; and unshielded neon).
  • No illuminated sign with a sign area of 150 square feet or less may have luminance greater than 300 foot-candles (including any portion within a circle two feet in diameter).
  • No illuminated sign with a sign area greater than 150 square feet may have luminance greater than 200 foot-candles for any portion within a circle of two feet in diameter.
  • No unshielded light source may be visible from the edge of the public right-of-way at a height of three feet.
