  • It shall be unlawful for any person to attach, place, paint, print, write, stamp or post any sign, advertisement or other matter within any public rights-of-way of any public street, or upon any sidewalk.

  • No sign or sign structure shall be erected in a street or highway right-of-way except signs of duly constituted governmental bodies, including traffic regulatory devices, legal notices, and warnings at railroad crossings; name and address signs on mailboxes; signs on newspaper boxes; nonilluminated directional off-premises signs identifying a church, school or public institution.
  • Signs within three hundred (300) feet of any officially designated historical site or monument are prohibited with the exception of nonilluminated directional off-premises signs identifying such historical site or monument.
  • Signs painted on or attached to trees, fences, telephone or other utility poles or signs painted on or attached to rocks or other natural features or painted on the roofs of buildings are prohibited, with the exception of signs permitted under section 74-407(b).
  • No sign or other advertising device of any kind may be placed on the property of another without first obtaining permission of the property owner.
  • All signs and supports, braces, guys and anchors thereof shall be kept in good repair, refurbished and repaired from time to time, as necessary, and perpetually maintained in safe condition, free from deterioration, defective or missing parts, or peeling or faded paint, and able to withstand the wind pressure to which it was originally designed. Any sign not in compliance with this provision is hereby declared to be a nuisance.
  • All signs intended to be temporary/portable shall not be adapted to be a permanent sign.
