Prohibited Signs in Edgewater Park Township

  • No person shall erect, alter or relocate any sign without obtaining both a zoning permit and a construction permit, unless exempted under the following provisions.

  • Vehicles used primarily for advertising that are parked in violation of stipulations (e.g., not delivery/service, parked more than 2 hours, not out of sight of the front of the building, not on the property of the business) are prohibited.
  • Neon-lit signs are prohibited except for neon illumination covered by a colored, translucent lens with no exposed bulbs, channels or tubes visible from the street or adjacent properties.
  • No signs shall be placed within the right-of-way, defined as the area between the street paving and the furthest edge of the sidewalk, or if no sidewalk, the area extending 10 feet from the street paving. Such signs are subject to removal and destruction by the Township.
