No sign shall be placed on any utility pole except for utility identification or similar purposes.

  • The owner of property upon which a sign is erected, or any person that erects, installs or maintains a sign in violation of these provisions shall be guilty of an offense punishable by up to a $500 fine per sign or imprisonment up to 15 days, or both.
