Sign Plan & Submission Notes for Edmond
- Compliance with Chapter 22.29B, Commercial, Multi-Family, and Industrial Site Plan Review shall be required when changing, modifying, or altering an existing sign, specifically to the size or involving a change in the frame or sign structure. Compliance is not required when the change involves only the message or display face where the frame or sign structure is not altered.
- When an existing sign is requested to be changed, as part of the commercial site plan review procedure, the landscaping requirement for the entire property or lot shall be considered with the review of the sign.
- Signs located in planned unit developments shall conform to all regulations of this chapter, including those specifically exempted therefrom as a part of the site development plan approval.
- No permit shall be issued for an individual sign requiring a permit unless and until a master signage plan has been approved by the Site Plan Review Team for all Planned Unit Developments in the I-35 Corridor. The master signage plan provides for the coordination of sign standards and allows for exceptions as to sign location and/or size as long as the total number of signs is not increased and the overall square footage of all signs allowed is not increased.
- For legal nonconforming signs, if there is a modification of the structures on the site which requires compliance with the provisions of Chapter 22.29B Commercial, Multi-Family, and Industrial Site Plan Review, for either a new building or a change to an existing building, the sign standards shall be reviewed as a part of the Commercial Site Plan Review.
