  • No sign shall be located on publicly owned land or inside street rights-of-way except signs required and erected by permission of an authorized public agency; signs include handbills, posters, advertisements or notices fastened/placed/posted/painted/attached in any way upon curbstones, lampposts, utility poles, hydrants, bridges, trees, rocks, sidewalks or streets.
  • Electronic message boards are not permitted in the city.
  • A lighted sign shall not be installed in such a manner as to annoy or interfere with the use of nearby properties.
  • Signs or other advertising structures shall not be erected where, by reason of position, shape or color, they may interfere with, obstruct the view of or be confused with any authorized traffic sign or signal device, or make use of the words “Stop”, “Danger”, or other words/phrases/symbols/characters in such manner as to interfere with, mislead or confuse vehicle operators.
