Prohibited Signs in Perkins

  • No person shall place, maintain or display upon or in view of any highway an unauthorized sign, signal, marking or device which purports to be or is an imitation of or resembles an official traffic control device or railroad sign or signal, or which attempts to direct the movement of traffic, or which projects any flashing or revolving beams of light, or which hides from view or interferes with the effectiveness of any official traffic control device or any railroad sign or signal.
  • No person shall, without lawful authority, attempt to or in fact alter, deface, injure, knock down or remove any official traffic control device, or any railroad sign or signal, or any inscription, shield or insignia thereon, or any other part thereof.
  • It is unlawful and an offense for any person, firm or corporation to display any sign, emblem, badge, flag or device that in its common acceptance is insulting, profane or abusive to the citizens of the city, and which is calculated, or of which the natural consequence is to cause a breach of the peace or an assault.
  • It is unlawful for any person to place, stick, tack, paste, post, paint, mark, write or print any sign, poster, picture, announcement, advertisement, bill, placard, device or inscription upon any public or private building, fence, sidewalk, bridge, viaduct, post, automobile, other vehicle, billboard, or other property of another, without the consent of the owner or person in charge thereof.
